The main objective of the project was to build a house that is located on a wooded land, on the owner’s parent’s homeland.
The construction will be built on reinforced concrete piles with a free ground floor and will have a single access from the ground through a continuous ramp which is in itself an exploration route of the beautiful landscape, until entering the house. This is preceded by a perimetral terrace that is enclosed with 10 mm thick metal bars that creates from the exterior the insolit image of a cage but also allows the visual communication with the exterior. The cage represents a layer of filtration, a thin threshold that confine the largely perimetral glazing, offering a dichotomy between the freedom of nature and captivity of the buit environment.
The building is located in Slatioara village , Valcea county. The land has a total area of 4,719.26sqm. The built-up area of all levels is 189,88 sqm and the total built area of the building including the access ramp and the terrace is 372 sqm.
On the ground floor we proposed the following spaces: kitchen, dining room, living room, library and the terrace around the house. At the mezzanine floor there are the following spaces: matrimonial bedroom two bathrooms and two other bedrooms.
