Existing context In today’s context, where in important cities and especially in small towns and villages, the local administrations operate in improper or very old buildings, this project is a local example of good management and concern for the future of a village with significant historical values. Currently, the administrative offices are located in a 19th century building, situated in the center of the village, on the main street, close to the main school and the fortified church. The building has not been upgraded or extended in recent decades, the only improvements where minor repairs. The existing spaces are far too small in number and size to meet the current requirements of the activities that such an institution requires.

Scopul proiectului

Scope The proposed investment consists in the construction of a new, modern, contemporary building and the modernization of the existing one, in order to create an assembly that meets the requirements of the current function standards. The scope of the project is to integrate the representative functions of the village in order to help improve the living standards of the inhabitants and to increase the attractiveness of the village.

Descrierea proiectului

Project description As a public investment, the project went through all the related phases, from the Feasibility Study conducted in 2016 to the Technical Project and Implementation details stage in 2018. From a functional point of view, the existing building will accommodate a local museum with info point, and the marriage office. The two new volumes were structured as one for the public offices and departments and the other for the officials and the local council meetings. At this time, the project has a Building Permit and the investment is going to enter the public tender system for execution contract.


Impact on the built environment Certainly a suitable administrative office has a major impact on the built environment. On one hand the building itself was designed as three separate volumes connected with a transparent two-story hallway, in order to keep the human scale, so the overall picture of the center of the village will be improved and renew. On the other hand, after the building completion, the staff in the compartment for urban development will be able to work in proper spaces with potential improvements on the built environment in the whole area. At a regional level, such a project is an example of good practice by stimulating other similar investments.
